About Dr. Heimlich
Our office has been in the Scottsdale and Phoenix area for over 15 years treating thousands of patients. Dr Heimlich found Chiropractic during his journey to restore his health after being injured in the military. After being helped by Chiropractic and reading the Chiropractic philosophy that the body has the ability to heal itself naturally through unrestricted communication with brain and nervous system, he knew instantly that becoming a Chiropractor would allow him to help as many people as possible and fulfill his passion for helping others.
Dr Heimlich did his undergraduate studies at Ohio State University. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1992 from Logan College of Chiropractic. He continues to train extensively in neurology and functional endocrinology in order to stay current with new research findings and offer his patients the most effective and individualized treatment recommendations.
Dr. Heimlich’s clinical approach is a SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE BASED and self-styled combination of alternative and western medicines.
His clinical tools include State of the art laboratory testing, comprehensive neurological evaluations, comprehensive spinal stenosis and herniated disc evaluations, cutting edge alternative medicines, world leading nutritional supplements, personalized nutritional biochemistry, physical-fitness advice, and lifestyle modification.
In practice for over 18 years, Dr. Heimlich deals with patients with nearly every type of illness and chronic pain disorder. His areas of interest include low back pain due to herniated discs, neck pain due to herniated discs, spinal stenosis, carpal tunnel syndrome, migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, insomnia/sleep disorders, vertigo/dizziness/balance disorders, restless leg syndrome, IBS also known as irritable bowel syndrome, auto-immune diseases, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, gastrointestinal issues, cardiovascular wellness, diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, developmental learning disorders from ADHD and ADD to Dyslexia, Asperger’s, PDD/NOS, and Autism.
Dr Heimlich entered a functional neurological program at the Carrick Institute to gain a deep understanding of common neurological disorders. Upon completion, he will gain a Masters in functional neurology.
Dr Heimlich’s mentor following the metabolic, blood, hormone and neurotransmitter imbalances is Dr Datis Kharazzian, DC, FAACP, DACBN, DIBAK, CNS, CCN, CSCS and CCSP.
